We know first hand the importance of eating clean, nutritious food due to health issues within our family. It's very important to use to be good stewards of the land as our farm has been in the family since the mid 1800s. Animal welfare is very important to us also.

We have not seen many pest problems in our poultry. We use proper management and sanitation to reduce the risk of pests. Bedding in brooder houses is changed between every flock. Brooder houses are left without bedding between flocks. We use flystrips, flytraps, and moving air to help reduce the amount of flies.

We use proper management and sanitation practices to prevent disease. Cleaning and/or sanitizing brooder house and equipment between flocks. Moving daily while on pasture and allowing ground to rest a minimum of 30 days before pasturing again. We also practice biosecurity by limiting visitors to animal areas.

We currently have none. If animals need to be treated outside of CNG protocol ie: antibiotics, they will be quarantined on another part of the property and sold as such.

For example: To the north and east, a wooded area of at least 100 yards separates us from the neighbor's corn fields, to the south is a fallow field at least 100 yards deep separating us from a blueberry farm, and to the west about 60 feet separates our crops from a field where conventional corn and soybeans are grown. *
To the north a wooded area of 1/2 mile to land that is sometimes in conventional crops. To the south and west there is at least 1/4 mile of pasture to the nearest conventional crops. To the east is pasture land that isn't sprayed.
