Fat Cat Farm

Dexter, Oregon

After teaching music for 15 years I got into gardening and, looking for a change, moved to the Willamette Valley with my wife in 2016 to try farming. I was lucky to get a job at one of the best farms in Oregon and worked there for three years learning tons and meeting some amazing people. In 2018 I started a small, 1/4 acre farm with a friend and sold at the corner of Jefferson and 19th in Eugene. After moving to Dexter I managed a local farm's vegetable production and started a small CSA which gave me the confidence to finally embark on my own and start Fat Cat Farm.

2020 was our first season and despite a pandemic, raging wildfires, debilitating smoke and ash filling our skies and the usual farming unknowns we did pretty good! Our Small Box CSA was a big hit and everyone appreciated our home delivery option (which we are continuing for the 2021 season), we sold out every week at our farmstand and there was overwhelming community support during the difficult times.

For 2021 we are offering the following options:

1. Small Box CSA - 13 Weeks - Home Delivery ($320)

2. Small Box CSA - 22 Weeks - Home Delivery ($500)

3. Online Store - Join our mailing list and order custom boxes whenever you like

With your CSA membership you get access to a database of recipes tailored to what's in your weekly or bi-weekly box, a weekly newsletter and bulk deals for storage and canning crops. Last year, as an extra Thank You to our CSA members we were able to give out an extra 15% in fruits and vegetables. PLUS, we can now accept SNAP benefits to pay for both CSA options and we have a small financial aid fund available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please check out our website for more information on who we are, how we grow and what we are offering this season. Feel free to email/call/text if you have any questions!

I believe that transparency is important in agriculture and being Certified Naturally Grown is a crucial step to show that my farm grows its fruits and vegetables in a way that is healthy for you, the soil and the world. Please contact me if you have any questions about my growing practices or the land I am growing on.
