We grow garlic naturally without synthetic materials, and are scaling up our garlic growing to meet demand. We can not afford a formal organic certification. We are proud of what we do, your organization holds the same standards and we would like to become part of healthy living, we are what we eat.

Sustane Organic Fertilizer, Azomite, local lime from Jordanville, soybean meal. Fertilizer Sustane is used based upon soil test results for NPK, prior to planting Azomite is added 1 pound per 100SF, lime is added depending soil test results trying to obtain pH of 6.8-7.0. Soybean meal used when planting garlic at approximately 1 tablespoon per clove.

Please describe your buffer. Be as specific as possible. On all sides, how far is it from your crops to the next closest use (road, conventional crop, residential yard)? Be sure to specify what is grown on neighboring land that is in agricultural use. For example: To the north and east, a wooded area of at least 100 yards separates us from the neighbor's corn fields, to the south is a fallow field at least 100 yards deep separating us from the road, and to the west about 60 feet separates our crops from a field where conventional corn and soybeans are grown. *
We live in rural New York State, there are hay fields on both sides of our Garlic patch(1.0 Acre). There are tree hedge boarders between property owners, there are very few if any farmers left in our Upstate New York area.
