I am a new microgreens grower that uses only untreated, organic seeds, purified water and coconut coir as my growing substrate. I want to establish credibility in the marketplace with the CNG designation, and I have recently passed the USDA GAP audit.

My microgreens are grown indoors without soil, so I do not experience any weeds. Use do not use any pesticides nor introduce any nutrients to my plants.

Occasionally experience fruit flies. I control with a hanging fly paper that attracts, traps and kills the fruit flies. Not much issue with pests.

No diseases, but my only real challenge is mold, which is mainly due to over-watering and/or not maintaining the grow room at or below 55% relative humidity.

Please describe your buffer. Be as specific as possible. On all sides, how far is it from your crops to the next closest use (road, conventional crop, residential yard)? Be sure to specify what is grown on neighboring land that is in agricultural use. For example: To the north and east, a wooded area of at least 100 yards separates us from the neighbor's corn fields, to the south is a fallow field at least 100 yards deep separating us from the road, and to the west about 60 feet separates our crops from a field where conventional corn and soybeans are grown. *
My microgreens are grown indoors in a separate grow room that is part of a single-family residential home. The home is located in a residential neighborhood.
