Please briefly tell us why you are applying to be part of the Certified Naturally Grown program: *
To allow our customers the proof of our efforts of sustainable land stewardship that we work hard on at our farm. As our farm gets in to higher production, the CNG certification we hope will give us more credit in selling to restaurants and doing more markets. Our hope is to also be connected with other farmers using similar farming values, to learn from each other and make a stronger community.

Thistle, pasture grass, dandelion, queen annes lace, chamomile. We mulch heavily and hand hoe to stay ahead of the weeds.

We run a 3 year crop rotation. We incorporate mustard greens which has anti-pest properties for the soil.

Fungus is an awareness in our crop. We use crop rotation, raised beds for drainage and mustard greens to combat fungal issues.

Please describe your buffer. Be as specific as possible. On all sides, how far is it from your crops to the next closest use (road, conventional crop, residential yard)? Be sure to specify what is grown on neighboring land that is in agricultural use. For example: To the north and east, a wooded area of at least 100 yards separates us from the neighbor's corn fields, to the south is a fallow field at least 100 yards deep separating us from the road, and to the west about 60 feet separates our crops from a field where conventional corn and soybeans are grown. *
We have a tree line on each fence row. Trees on each property line that facilitates barriers.
