We believe everyone should eat clean, healthy food. We grow using organic and natural methods. Our crops are grown using composting and natural mulch. We practice crop rotation for healthy soil and never use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We believe joining the CNG program is an important part of networking and support for like-minded farmers..

Grass invading the rows from the side is our main weed problem. We use a rechargeable weedeater and hand removal.

Vine borers on squash and pumpkins have been a problem this year. We inspect for borers and remove as needed. We also use crop rotation.

We had some issues with tomato leaf blight and pruned as necessary. We have not used any products at this point but might consider a recommend fungicide for organic growing.

Please describe your buffer. Be as specific as possible. On all sides, how far is it from your crops to the next closest use (road, conventional crop, residential yard)? Be sure to specify what is grown on neighboring land that is in agricultural use. For example: To the north and east, a wooded area of at least 100 yards separates us from the neighbor's corn fields, to the south is a fallow field at least 100 yards deep separating us from the road, and to the west about 60 feet separates our crops from a field where conventional corn and soybeans are grown. *
The north and east areas are separated by woodlands, the south area is at least 50 yards from the adjoining neighbors yard, and the west area connects to our yard and is 250 yards from the road in front of our house.
