Our farm currently practices natural methods for growing our produce. We try to use sustainable practices and source local materials to reduce our carbon footprint. Some of these materials may not be certified organic but are also naturally grown. We believe our operation fits better with certified naturally grown versus certified organic.

Colorado Potato Beetle: We hand pick eggs and remove adults. We use spinosad if this problem increases and it is applied every 2 weeks until there is no longer a problem. Squash Bugs: We hand pick the eggs.

Please describe your buffer. Be as specific as possible. On all sides, how far is it from your crops to the next closest use (road, conventional crop, residential yard)? Be sure to specify what is grown on neighboring land that is in agricultural use. For example: To the north and east, a wooded area of at least 100 yards separates us from the neighbor's corn fields, to the south is a fallow field at least 100 yards deep separating us from the road, and to the west about 60 feet separates our crops from a field where conventional corn and soybeans are grown. *
We have a 300 foot strip of CRP land bordering on the north and west side. We have 500 yard woods to the south. To the east we have 150 feet of roads and ditches to the east. Each of these separates us from a neighbor's field.
