Cherokee Creek Farm
We are a small family farm nestled among 110 acres of hardwoods and longleaf pine forest. Our farm is named in honor of our Native American heritage; Wayne's great great grandmother was Cherokee and Alicia's great grandmother was Creek. We maintain our property as a wildlife sanctuary (which makes for some interesting farming!). We are dedicated to wildlife conservation, sustainable agriculture, and healthy living. We grow heirloom vegetables and herbs which we sell on the Red Hills Online Market (www.rhomarket.com) in Tallahassee. We also grow heirloom vegetable and herb bedding plants which can be purchased at Tallahassee Nurseries (www.tallahasseenurseries.com). We are members and supporters of the Red Hills Small Farm Alliance (www.redhillsfarmalliance.com).
"The earth does not belong to us, we belong to the earth". Chief Seattle, 1854
We chose CNG because we support the concept of farmers helping farmers. We are proud to be members of this group of farmers dedicated to sustainable and healthy agriculture.
